mission is to produce travelling Edutainment Theatre presentations in schools, providing interactive, social life-skills and self-efficacy education to school-going youth, to develop resilience and enable informed choice.

The initiation and reinforcement of the processes of self-growth, self-development and self-knowledge in individuals leads towards a change in social attitudes and mores regarding sex, sexuality and gender and so contributes to a reduction of the rates of HIV transmission, discrimination, abuse and rape, thus resulting in the increased mental and physical health of society.

To this end our specific objectives are:

  • To (further/better) inform learners about HIV/AIDS, STI’s, Sexuality, Relationships, Gender relations and Abuse and their options in relation to them.
  • To demonstrate and teach (more of) the life-skills necessary for the learners to make informed choices about their activities with regard to relationships, society, sex and sexuality, and their right to make those choices.
  • To increase understanding and decrease misunderstandings, myths and taboos about HIV/AIDS and the roles and place of sex, sexuality, relationships, condoms and men and women amongst the learners, and how that affects their choices.
  • To diminish myths and taboos regarding the use of condoms, and demystify the condom itself (where appropriate).
  • To increase understanding of the possible situations, choices and options available to the learners, and where and how to exercise their rights and options with regard to these issues.
  • To assist the learners to gain a (better) confidence and understanding of themselves, and how they relate to their community/society.
  • To assist the learners to discover where and how to get support and aid for their choices, should they need/wish to.
  • To support Life-Orientation Educators in their work with regard to these issues.
  • To support community workers and other issue related organisations in their work and presence in these fields.
